Guest Speaker at Cynosure Advanced Symposium
Dr Terence Poon has been invited to speak about the Picosure laser used for pigmentation and tattoo removal performed at the Neutral Bay Laser and Dermatology Clinic, at the upcoming "The Facts of Light: Advanced Symposium which is presented by Cynosure.  The event is being held for the first time in 2014, with the view to continue every year. The aim is to provide attendees with an unparalleled educational opportunity in the field of laser treatments.

Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing

Cosmetex hosted their cosmetic surgery and medicine conference at the Royal Pines Resort in Queensland on 1-3 May 2014 which was attended by two of the clinicians from Neutral Bay Laser and Dermatology Clinic, Sr Kim Murphy and Dr Marianne Nolan.   At the conference, Kim was awarded a Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing.  This is a huge achievement, especially as Kim in the first RN in Australia to receive this award.   Congratulations to our kind and bright Kim on her pioneering effort.

Bob's Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal After Twelve Weeks

Bob was photographed again just prior to his third treatment.  The volume of the laser has been increased which Bob found to be painful.   The nursing staff gave him some local anesthetic and he toughed it out.  He was able to go to work immediately after the treatment, and whilst a little tender, there were no other ill-effects from the treatment.

Bob's Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal First Treatment
Bob's first treatment took around 1/2hr to perform.   He said there was a level of pain, but no more than getting the tattoo in the first place.  Cold air was constantly kept on the area to minimise discomfort.   It appeared to "frost" the treated area.  Vaseline and a dressing was then applied which he was advised to leave intact until that evening.

Bob's Picosure Laser Tattoo Removal Prior to First Treatment

Bob got his tattoos 42 years ago when he was in the Merchant Navy, a decision he regretted shortly after.  It was not until he read about the Picosure Laser at Neutral Bay Laser & Dermatology Clinic that he decided it was time for them to go.
